# Data and privacy requests

In “Privacy and data”, request a data export, account deactivation or deletion. Requests are handled by staff; you can withdraw one until staff start handling it.

## What you can request

## How it works

- Submit the request in “Privacy and data”.
- Staff handle each request, and its progress and outcome note appear on the same page.
- You can withdraw a request until staff start handling it; after that it cannot be withdrawn.

## The three stages of a request

| Just submitted | Handling has not started; you can still withdraw it. |
| Being handled | Staff have started handling it; it can no longer be withdrawn. |
| Closed | Completed, rejected or withdrawn; the page shows the outcome note staff recorded. |
