# Points

In the China region points are issued to every account under the same rules, with no exclusion list. All points come from contribution valuations, are listed by source, and every entry can be recomputed; until redemption opens, points only accumulate and cannot be used. Points are not Credits.

## Where points come from

- Invitations and spending rebates are the two sources of points; operations activities are listed too.
- Open a source to see where that kind of points comes from, how much has been issued, and each valuation, which you can expand and recompute.
- A source with no points does not show 0: one not yet connected says not yet open, one waiting in the queue says pending issuance, and one with nothing says none.

## How points are issued

- Since 2026-09-23, points are issued only from contribution valuations; real contributions made before then are included.
- Each month has a budget, and anything not issued rolls into the next month.

## Can points be used now

- Until redemption opens, points only accumulate and cannot be used; you will be told when it opens.
- Points are not Credits: Credits pay for things, points record contribution.
